Family Weekend

This weekend was a very busy one for Bryan. On Saturday, I took Bryan and my mother-in-law to the zoo. We saw a couple of animal shows. There was the water show with the sea lions and penguins and manatees and pelicans. And the other one we saw was the elephant one. Bryan loved it so much that he was very upset when they all ended. He settled for feeding the elephants. It cost $5 for a small basket of fruits which we would be giving to the elephants. The elephants liked it very much.

Then on Sunday, we celebrated my father-in-laws birthday. We went to Min Jiang at One North. It's the one at Rochester Park near Dover. There are some new restaurants there housed in old colonial style government houses. The ambiance is actually very nice. But it's a little inaccessible and parking is a bit of a problem. Because it's in houses, there are no lifts to get to the second floor. And it's a little hilly so walking there is quite up and downish. The food is actually very nice. But the service is another thing. The portions aren't very big and they tried to pass a smaller plate of fried rice for party of 8 for our party of 10+. And the tea was very diluted. But everyone still had a good time.

And Bryan made a good friends with his four year old cousin Katelyn.
