Blogging Absence

I just realized that I haven't blogged for almost 2 weeks! I must have been busy. Especially at work. I've had a few issues to iron out and then there was the stock take over the weekend as well. So now every tablet, bottle, vial has been accounted for, I can go back to restocking the clinic's medication. Being the main anchor doctor in a clinic is not as easy as it initially looks. But definitely much more interesting and involving.

I've also resolved to spend more time with Bryan before baby Jeremy (??) comes. This weekend, I took him to the club to swim. He really enjoyed himself. He kept dunking his head underwater and kept insisting that I do the same. I think all he needs a pair of goggles and then he is all set to start swimming lessons. So less time to blog and do my scrapbook which is sorely neglected.

Everyone's been asking me if I want a third child since I have 2 boys. But I'm really not sure how much more I can spread myself. There's work and my darling hubbie who has been really patient with me not being around him so often. And then there's Bryan and baby. I guess I'm not ruling out a third child but it's definitely not on the cards for the next few years at least.

Meanwhile, I'm putting on weight. Yikes! And baby seems fine. I don't have backaches, swollen legs or anything much. I just feel really bloated after a full meal. My next checkup is tomorrow.

Doing the Karen Cheng

My favourite Aussie blogger has a group up on Facebook to post fun photos of ourselves in the mirror. I thought I'd give it a try even though I'm already 5 and a half months pregnant. And putting on weight and getting totally paranoid about the dreaded stretch-marks.

I'm still working full time so I have to look somewhat appropriate for work. I don't have very many maternity outfits and my belly is outgrowing all my looser, empire-line stuff. Coincidentally this June, is the Great Singapore Sale. And I managed to pick this lovely dress for only $20, at a nice local boutique for maternity and nursing clothes, 9 Mois. They don't have a large range of clothes but whatever they have is pretty trendy.

More Birthday Celebrations

Bryan turns 3 this month. It's not quite his birthday yet but we decided to have his party early. Bryan wanted to have a Thomas birthday. So I went to a party supply store to get some Thomas stuff. They had quite a selection. In the end I chose a banner, some invitation cards, party bags and party giveaways. And I ordered a Thomas birthday cake for him.

We blew up the playpool for him that day. It comes with a mini slide, some blow up rings, balls and a little fountain. He really enjoyed himself and he was really happy to finally have his own birthday party. Where everyone sang the birthday song to Bryan and then he blew out the candles on his own Thomas cake.

I think the best part for him was opening his presents. He loved tearing open the wrapper just to see what's inside. And he was really polite too. He thanked everyone for their presents.

And what did Mommy and Daddy buy him? We got him his very own Leap Pad with a Thomas storybook. It's like his very own educational computer. It's his favourite toy now. He brings it with him everywhere. And now he tells everyone he is now THREE years old!

Birthday Celebrations

I'm now officially 28 years old. It doesn't feel very different at all. But I do feel very busy and fulfilled. It's so much more than I would have imagined myself to be. I've got a clinic I'm in charge of. I really love it there. And I've got a gorgeous devoted hubbie. And I've got a very bright 3 year old. And another boy on the way. Yup, it's official. I'm going to be a mother of two boys!

This year, my darling hubbie bought me a Tag Hauer watch. I really really like it. It's tough enough to be worn anywhere, even to the pool. And yet dressy enough to be worn to dinners and stuff. I'm never taking it off! Then he surprised me over the weekend with a one night stay at Marina Mandarin. And in a suite too! It was fabulous. There was a HUGE fluffy bed and a huge living room with TWO flat screen plasma TVs and TWO balconies. There was a bathtub AND a separate shower. The suite was even equipped with it's own coffee machine. I just couldn't resist. I had to make myself a decaffinated cup of coffee. It was yummy.

And that night, he got the concierge to send up a birthday cake. It was an amazing night. Bryan was there too and he helped me to blow out the candles. The loveliest birthday I've ever had! And I want to say a great big THANK YOU to my amazing hubbie who managed to plan it all behind my back. I love you. You are the best!
