Watching Airplanes

We had a lovely morning together as a family. First was the morning swim. Gabriel went in too. He quietly watched Bryan swimming by himself in the big pool. And then waded in the baby pool. He found out that sitting on one step was very comfortable for him. After that, we headed down to Changi Airport for lunch at the Soup Restaurant. It's quiet there over the weekend and definately not as busy as the other shopping centres. So I liked it. And the wide corridors were great for the kids to run around in. We went to the viewing gallery at Terminal 2. They've really vamped it up. It's now carpeted with lots of info about Changi Airport. For example, did you know it takes only 12 minutes for checked in baggage to get from the airplane to the conveyor belt? That's really fast.
Bryan enjoyed looking at the exhibits and learning new things. Like what fireproofing material feels like. Gabriel simply enjoyed looking out of the window onto the floor below and the airplanes outside.

Anniversary No 6
At the Le Amis. I liked the chandeliers. The food was very unique. It's all nicely presented and tatsted lovely. Even the bread was soft and warm and very yummy. There was pink champagne and strawberry tiramisu. As a lovely surprise, the restaurant presented us with a chocolate cake at the end. Hmm.. Yumm...We had a fantastic time. It's a rare occasion that we have dinner without the 2 kids. And after that, we even had time to catch a movie. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HUNNIE! Here's to many more years of happiness ahead!

Kite Flying

Hubbie brought us to Marina Barrage to fly kites. Well, it was actually just one kite. But it was a big one, a big orange fish kite. It was sunny and windy up on the rooftop. And the kite flew very well and very high. Bryan really enjoyed himself holding on to the string. Gabriel didn't quite enjoy the hot sun but he was fascinated by the kites in the sky. And I have to admit I did enjoy myself too. It's actually very therapeutic to watch the kite high up in the sky. I could watch it for hours. Next time, I should remember to bring a picnic blanket, lots of drinks in a cooler. And a big golf umbrella.

Disney Scraps Part 1
I started working on my Disneyland album this month. It's 8 X 8 so it's smaller and easier to work with. I only use 1 or 2 photos on a page. I manage to do about 1 page a day. But I have about 40 pages planned so it's going to take a while...
Warning: Lots of Images...

Using Kaisercraft Travel papers, rubons, diecut tickets for the first day of travel.

I love the way these pages turned out. I like the antique look with the Peak/Tram photos. The coral background matches the Disneyland Hotel theme very well in the last 2 pages. These papers are actually from 7 Gypsies Venice collection.

I kept the leftover October Afternoon Very Merry collection for the Christmas photos on the trip. The one with Santa Claus is priceless. You don't see very many authentic looking Santa Clauses in Singapore. Much less with a huge Christmas tree in the background.

A Fabulous Party
Gabriel looked like he really enjoyed himself. There was a little house that he made himself at home in. Then there was the table full off craft stuff. Especially the crayons. Gabriel loves crayons and such.
Bryan meanwhile, was one of the bigger kids there. I think he liked the BLUE icing on the cupcake the best. Oh, and the sweets from the Pinata of course. He stuffed his pockets to the brim with sweets.

March Scrapz
Meanwhile, I'm so excited to be working on my 8x8 Hong Kong/Disneyland album. It's going to take me probably until the end of the month...

Weekend Fun
We went to play 'Lilliputt' mini golf on Sunday. Bryan was bugging us for a while already. So we all went. Gabriel included. Bryan had a great time putting. And Gabriel ended up wandering all over the mini golf course. And then decided he needed a break. So he sits down at the edge of the course and rests his arms on the ledge. Cuteness!
We had a lovely lunch afterward with another couple and their 2 year old girl. It was in the Regent hotel's Summer Palace. The food was really yummy. Especially their 'Wasabi Prawns'. Not somewhere I'll go every weekend. But for special occasions. It's a nice restaurant with excellent service.
