Bryan's cousin, Katelyn turns 6. She held her birthday party at an ARt Place. The kids had access to all sorts of art material, including paint and markers. Bryan painted a lion money-box and wrote a Happy Birthday card and poster to Katelyn. It was definately a very different birthday party. Very messy too. But lots of fun. There was even a gorgeous birthday cake at the end too. With butterflies and flowers. Isn't it sweet.
I realised that art is a very good way to keep kids busy. But it has to be something different, like painting ceremics or making a box. I should try that next time. Instead of using the TV to occupy my kids. Although it would be rather messy with paints and marker or even glue marks everywhere. Maybe during the school holidays, when I'm on leave...
